Review: Travalo Excel - refillable atomizer

Hello everybody!

How many times have you wished you had your perfume with you, while being at work or going to a meeting? Or you simply wanted to freshen up a little bit when you are out?

Well, this is possible now, without being necessary to carry your favorite perfume bottle with you.

Now you can use Travalo Excel, a refillable atomizer, which has a system that allows you to refill in seconds with a simple repeat pump action.

It comes in a protective carry case, so it won't get scratched if you put it in your bag.

It is made of aluminium, so it's extremely light, lasts up to 65 sprays and it has only 8,5 cm and 20 grams.

It comes in a variety of colors, here you can see some examples:

Now, let me show you how it works!

First take you favourite perfume bottle (in my case: Davidoff - Cool Water). Travalo fills directly from almost any fragrance bottle with a removable spray head.

Simply remove the nozzle from your big fragrance bottle (you have to put it on a plan surface), pump Travalo up and down on the tube, and you can be ready to go in just a few seconds.

It is easier to fill it up with the lid on. In my pictures you can see that I did it with the lid off, but I didn't have any problems when refilling!

Travalo has an integrated fill level indicator window to show how much fragrance you have left.

I really like this product and I totally recommend it!

It's a must have for people who travel a lot or work a lot and need freshen up during the day! I think it's a great gift for both men and women!

Here is the second China Glaze polish from Electropop collection, which I bought from BeautyInTheBottle.

It is called "Gaga for green" and it's a fresh, bright green. It's finish is somewhere between creme and jelly.

In the pictures I'm wearing 2 coats.

Hello!

Because I am a nail polish addict, I couldn't resist the temptation and bought 2 polishes from China Glaze's Electropop spring collection.

I ordered them from BeautyInTheBottle and got them a few weeks ago!

Here is a picture of the two polishes I bought: Wicked Style and Gaga for Green:

And now, I want to show you one of them: Wicked style:

As you can see, it's a bright, tropical color, which will be perfect for spring and summer. I think it's a shade between pink and coral, and, although I am not a "pink person", I really like this one!

For this manicure, I used Orly - Crawford's Wine, which I won from Holly from Holly and Polish (Thanks Holly!), along with another Orly polish and an Orly nail treatment.

Now, let me show you the swatches:

After applying the polish, I added a design from Bundle Monster image plate BM02, using Essence Stampy polish - White.

Hello!

I was searching for some files on my computer today and I found an old manicure of mine, which I never got to show you before.

So, better late than never :)

I used Flormar 319 as a base:

Then I added the french tips using image plate Konad M19 and then the anchor design using image plate BM 08. I used a stamping blue polish (no name).

It made me think of summer and sea (especially now when there are -14 degrees Celsius outside).

I like the result very, very much and I got a lot of compliments for the manicure.

Review: Ylin Mood Color Changing Nail Polish from Bornprettystore

Hello!

As promised, here is my review on Ylin Mood Color Changing Nail Polish, which I received from Bornprettystore!

This is one of my longest post ever, so bare with me please (I really liked taking pictures of this nail polish and you will see why!)

This is my first Color Changing Nail Polish and I was very eager to try it. After I applied the polish, I took the pictures immediately, so I'm sorry 'cause I didn't have time to clean my cuticles!

The polish comes is a small box:

It's blue below 33° C and becomes sky blue above 33° C.

This is how it looks like immediately after I applied two coats:

And then, it started changing :)

After it changed, I felt the need for a third coat.

After waiting a little bit for it to dry, I started playing with a bowl of cold water (and with a little help from my boyfriend - he took the pictures):

I really love the effect of this polish and I think it would look great on longer nails (and when you go to the seaside / pool).

On Bornprettystore you can find different color combos, along with many nail art products.

I also received a set of practice wheels - 10 wheels. They are made of transparent plastic and they are great for swatches.

I like how they look, they came packed very well, so they were all intact.

This is a burgundy / dusty pink jelly base with dusty pink hexagonal and micro glitter, as well as some silver micro glitter.

I want to show you what I wore on my nails on New Year's Eve. I went with a layering combo, instead of stamping!

For this manicure I used Essence - Underwater:

Then I added one coat of Essence - Make it golden:

I also did a manicure for my friend using Make it golden, but I layered it over OPI - Jade is the new black.

Hello everybody!

Here is another Christmas manicure:

For this, I used as a base Essence Multi Dimension - Princesses rule!

Then I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Cherry red and Konad special green polish to stamp some Christmas Balls from image plate BM 225. I wished I had some Konad Special red polish so I could obtain a true red Christmas ball :)

On my index finger I stamped a design from image plate M73 from Konad, using Konad special green polish. Then I added some dots using a dotting tool. (I was trying to recreate a Christmas tree, but I didn't align the design properly).

Here you can see a great design made using this design (when I saw it last year I thought I should recreate it)

Here is another Christmas design!

I used p2 - Virgin as a base (I forgot to take pictures before I stamped the design :D) and then I stamped the snowflake from image plate BM14 using Essence twins - Chuck and OPI - Suzy says Feng Shui.

And here are the snowflakes I did for a friend of mine:

I used p2 - Divine as a base, sponged some Konad special White polish and then I added the same snowflake from BM14 using a special stamping polish (the brand doesn't have a name) and Avon - Twilight Blue.

I stamped the Holly flower design from image plate BM 14 using Konad special green polish. Then I added 3 dots using a dotting tool and Essence - Fame Fatal.

I love the result and I received many compliments for this manicure.

It's time to show you my first Christmas manicure from this year.

Some of you asked me how I did last year's Christmas manicure (I followed the same steps, but I used different polishes), so here are the steps for this manicure.

As a base, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blue me away!, a bright blue creme.

Then I sponged Konad Special White polish (I smudged it a little on my index finger)

After adding one coat of Seche Vite, I used some Christmas water decals I received from Bornprettystore. Here are more pictures.

I love this Christmas Water decals! They are very, very easy to use, they have a lot of beautiful designs and they are very cheap.

Comparison: Princess Prunella vs. Dusky Mauve

Hello everybody!

Here is the comparison I promised yesterday.

I used Essence - Princess Prunella, a plum polish with lilac shimmer versus Barry M - Dusky Mauve, a dark taupe with violet shimmer.

Princess Prunella (P.P.) has a metallic finish, while Dusky Mauve (D.M.) is more creamy.

I like Dusky Mauve more because it looks more "intense" (and I like the finish too).

It's time for me to show you another Essence Color & Go polish called Princess Prunella.

In the bottle it reminds me of Chanel Paradoxal (and it's dupes), but on the nails it doesn't look like it (color or finish).

It is a plum polish with lilac shimmer and a metallic finish.

It feels like Xmas already when you start to receive gifts right? :)

Today I received a package from Bornprettystore, with my first dotting tools set and a set of Christmas Water decals, which I can't wait to try!!!

I also have the old Christmas set (you can see the pictures here) and I have three manis on my blog using that set (one over China Glaze - Swing Baby, one over OPI - Suzi says Feng Shui and one on my friend's nails).

As you can see, the dotting tools are double - ended (with different sizes on each end) - I only took photos of the bigger size.

Hello!

How are you? How was your week?

Today I will show you another Sinful Colors shade. It's called "Last Chance" and it's a dark, hunter green creme.
The application was good, but I was in a hurry and I applied a thick second coat and I got some bubbles on one finger.

Afterwards, I stamped a design using an old Avon polish that I found (it doesn't have a name on it, only Metallic) an Bundle Monster image plate BM 205.

NOTD: A Violet Flame over Purple Diamond

How are you?

Today I will show you Sinful Colors - Purple Diamond.

It's a lavender shade with lots of shimmer.

It needs more than 3 coats to be opaque (I am wearing 3 coats in the pictures).

I wanted to add something to this manicure, so I tried Burst Crackle - Violet Flame, a purple crackle polish I won from Overseeing Fashion's giveaway! (Thank you so much Mihaela!)

NOTD & KOTD: Silver flowers on Concrete Catwalk

Hello everybody!

I have so many swatches photographed and I want to start showing you some of them!

Today, I want to show you China Glaze - Concrete Catwalk. It's a beautiful dark grey creme, which is almost perfect in one coat (I applied two). It's one of the nicest grey polishes I have ever owned and used.

I bought this polish from BeautyInTheBottle and if you like it, you can buy it cheaper this week! (Check their Facebook page!)

Then I stamped a design using Essence Stampy polish - Silver and image plate BM 221.

Review: Scented nail polish remover pads

Hello everybody!

How have you been lately?

I'm back from my course (which was great!) and I have some catch-up to do.

This past month I didn't have time to do my nails (and that's why now they are very very short), but I bought some great nail polishes which I will sow you in another post.

While I was away, I also received a package from Bornprettystore.

This is what I got:

6 round boxes with nail polish remover pads and a cuticle pusher & remover.

First of all I want to say that the pads smell amazing! I wish you could sense the smell through the pictures :)

Scents I have: apple, melon, lily, strawberry, grapes, oranges.

They came sealed (you can see the plastic wrap around them) and each box contains 32 pads.

I opened the strawberry one and this is how it looks like:

The pads are thin and well soaked in polish remover.

Here is a close up with two pads.

I wanted to try them so I can see how good they clean the nail polish.

I had a polish on my nails and I added some glitter ('cause we all know how hard it is to take that off :) )

I used 2 pads to clean 5 nails: 3 with glitter and 2 without glitter (I forgot to take a photo with the pads after cleaning the polish, but I will take one next time)

Here are my nails after:

The pads work really good. The easily remove the nail polish (even the glittery one, and I didn't have to rub very hard to do that!).

I think the pads are great to use to remove the glittery polish using the aluminum foil method (cut in half they cover the nail just perfect if you have smaller nails).

What I like most about the pads (except the scent; my favorites are strawberry and melon) is that they don't dry your cuticles!!

Because the box is quite small, you can easily take one with you in your everyday bag or when you travel and you want to save some space!

Do I recommend them?

YES!

Hello everybody!

If you were wondering why I suddenly disappeared, let me tell you the reason:

I am taking a German course in Schwäbisch Hall in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

I'll stay here almost to the end of the month, so I won't be able to post anything until then.

Hello everybody!

Because today the weather in Bucharest was extremely hot for this time of year, I decided to show you a bright red color to go along with this weather.

But before, I want to share my opinion on image plate M65 which I received for review from Bornprettystore.com.

The image plate was covered with a blue plastic foil which I removed before I started stamping.

(The image plate looks dirty, but actually that is from my acetone...)

Again, I didn't use a special stamping polish when I tried it, because I wanted you to see how it works with a normal polish.

I stamped with Flormar 413.

As you can see the designs are great, they stamp really well (even with a non-stamping polish).

The patterns are large enough to fit to my thumb nail.

Hello!

Here is another Essence nail polish - Can't cheat on me.

Two coats in the pictures.

I added a design using Essence stampy polish in black and Konad image plate M63.

I love this polish!

As you can see in the pictures, it has a slight holographic effect.

What do you think?
